It was so cold, rainy and windy yesterday when we hauled out. It took 7 of us to get the boat in the right position. AND then It took over an hour to get Okisollo situated in the slings and another hour to pressure wash the slime off the bottom. Always a nerve wracking experience to watch your 'house' dangling from some straps, lifted up, shifting as it settles, and then placed in the boat yard.
And today it is rainy again, so we'll be getting on the rain coats and finding the hard warmers. Nothing like the delightful wet winter of the pacific northwest! Yesterday the weather forecast said rain from 6-8 am, it now says 8 am - 11 am. I think at this point, I should just expect it to rain all day.
The projects for this weekend: take out antiquated sonar transducers (there were three), replace with new sonar transducers (there are two), fill the hole in the bottom to be used for future through hull, scrub the barnacles off the propeller, replace the zincs, fix the chip in the keel and prep for touch up bottom paint. I'd like to wax, but I think that will have to wait until a warmer day.
